Our goal is to promote appropriate health behaviors, in particular, the knowledge and skills permitting independence in self care.
Patients need not become dependent on “healers” if they are educated how to manage, reduce and/or eliminate complaints with their own resources. Chiropractic and acupuncture can help to get you going; expertise in self care is what keeps you going.
Diagnosis and treatment, within these offices, are consistent with evidence-based criteria; fringe criteria are eschewed.
My practice is rooted within the soil of the teachings of Robin McKenzie, Leonard Matheson and Gordon Waddell. I am eternally grateful for the insights they have provided regarding the logical and ethical management of musculoskeletal complaints, including the clarion call to permit self-care to flower by promoting appropriate patient-centered knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and skills.
